C1 to set up R&D, training facility in Hyderabad GICC by yearend
Expands global innovation centre; plans to cross skill employees in emerging technology

Hyderabad: C1, (formerly ConvergeOne), on Monday announced the expansion of its Global Innovation and Capabilities Centre (GICC) in Hyderabad. Besides the expansion of their physical office space from 20,000 sft to 40,000 sft, the Company has also expanded its offerings to customers. Moreover, C1 will be setting up a training facility, by end of 2024, to cross skill its current employees.
Currently, C1 has employed nearly 600 employees in India, with 60 per cent of them working out of its GICC in Hyderabad, and others are working remotely from Bangalore followed by Noida, Chennai, and other cities. At their innovation centre in the city, the largest team here is into developing technology solutions, besides other teams working on product development, sales support, and contract/legal, among others. On the expansion plan, Chandra Boddoju, Country Head-India Operations, C1, said: “Our plan is to take our employee count in India to 1,000 within two years from the time of our launch here. These employees will be hired in the roles of back-end, managerial, and technical. We have kicked-off new functions such as customer experience centre, product development, marketing operations, pre-sales, and more functions are lined-up.”
Tamara Shaw, Chief Transformation Office - USA, C1, further said that by the end of this year the company will be setting up an R&D and training facility to cross skill their employees in emerging technologies with a focus on products related to enterprise networks, AI-enabled offerings and security.
The company provides solution to 6,000 customers operating in the healthcare, education and other sectors in the US. On the fastest growing business in C1, Eric Walter, Sr vice president, Managed Services – USA, said that security is their fastest growing category of business from customer demand perspective.
